Businesses are starting to open back up, but the virus is still large and in charge. How can you stay safe from it? What are the measures you need to take? We compiled a list of instructions that can help you stay safe while also flattening the curve. Take a look and see what you think!
Wear a Mask
Even though businesses are open, it doesn’t mean that the virus is gone. People can still carry the virus and not know it. These people are asymptomatic. This is why it is important that you wear a mask to protect yourself from germs. More importantly, it can protect other people from you. This action will dramatically decrease the virus’s spread and get your life back to normal.
Wash Your Hands
This should be done regardless of the virus. Washing your hands has been proven to effectively slow down the spread of germs. Think of everything you touch in 10 minutes–it’s a lot. Now imagine you have the virus and touched everything without washing your hands.
Take Your Shoes Off at Home
Wearing your shoes outside, to the grocery store, for a walk and many other places means that those germs are on your shoes. When you get home, take your shoes off on a mat so that you don’t bring those germs into your home.
Create a Home Station
Make sanitizing easy, create a home “sanitization station.” On a small table, have everything you need to disinfect what you brought home with you. This could be your keys, phone, groceries, purse, etc. Wipe down everything with a wipe or Lysol to kill the germs. This way, when you bring everything in, the spread is minimized.
Minimize Going Out
This is probably the most important step you can take during COVID-19. Just because businesses are opening doesn’t mean that you need to go to them immediately. Try to minimize the times you go to businesses which will allow everyone to continue social distancing. If everyone goes out only when they need to, there will be less people in the stores allowing the curve to effectively flatten.
